Vanessa McKernan

THE ARTIST

B. 1981. Vanessa McKernan is a visual artist living and working in Toronto, Canada. Since completing her honours BFA at Concordia University in 2006, Vanessa has maintained a studio practice and devotion to the pursuit of truth and magic through painting. From 2019-2020, McKernan was the Heliconian Artist in Residence. Within Canada, she is represented by Wall Space Gallery in Ottawa and Jones Gallery in Saint John. In December of 2020, she was awarded the prestigious Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation grant.
