Fields of Colour and Moody Lakeside Walks: Lori Richards' "The Painted Season"

In an interview with Lori Richards on the evening of the opening of her latest show, The Painted Season, she talks about the emotional connection she has with the land conveyed in her works. Her ever-evolving works demonstrate the intensely personal connection she has with colour theory and abstraction. Her latest works, fields of colour inspired by modernist painting and moody lakeside walks inspired by the landscape painting of Peter Doig, are emotionally charged representations of geographical forms that demonstrate the wonderment and joy she derives in experiencing nature.
