"I am a contemporary figurative artist whose primary mode of expression is the human form. I try to illustrate the subtle facial expressions and simple hand gestures that take shape beyond consciousness. These tell the stories that we might not want to tell and expose our feelings without us necessarily being aware. The characters I create are shaped by an endless flow of deeply rooted thoughts, questions, fears and insecurities. After working on sculpture, painting and drawing separately for many years, I have recently developed a new technique allowing me to merge these mediums together in a two-dimensional space. This unique process was created out of a long time desire to breathe life and colour into my sculpture work. The resulting paintings seem to trick the eye while creating the illusion of a 3rd dimension."
