Solange Guiada started training in metalwork and jewellery techniques in 2004, and became passionate about working and playing with metal. She studied jewellery techniques at the École de Joaillerie de Montréal. After growing success in selling her pieces, she officially launched Mynta in 2008. Since then she has opened an online shop, participated in several juried art shows, and began selling her pieces at brick-and-mortar stores and galleries.
Guaida has recently moved to the Westboro Village area. Every piece is designed by Guaida, then handmade and finished. From a piece of raw metal or a block of wax, to a finished, shiny jewel, she manages every aspect of production, marketing and sales. The small-scale production means pieces remain unique and of very high quality.
